CES 2024: Everything revealed so far, from NVIDIA and AI to Samsung’s foldable screens

Timekettle announced the X1 Interpreter Hub, a more robust solution designed for meetings. Timekettle calls it “the world’s first multi-language simultaneous interpretation system.” The system works out of the box, without downloading a separate app. For in-person meetings, the two devices are touched together to initiate conversation translation. The handheld devices feature earbuds similar to previous Timekettle products. In total, the X1 is capable of supporting up to 20 people simultaneously in five different languages. Read more.

Televisions aren’t inherently beautiful or used as a design feature, however, LG Electronics is set to change that perception. Today, the consumer technology giant unveiled the “world’s first” wireless transparent OLED TV. The LG Signature OLED T combines a transparent 4K OLED screen with LG’s wireless video and audio transmission technology.

French startup Neoplants is showing off its progress with its houseplants that serve as air purifiers designed for the home. According to the company, the bio-engineered plants can replace up to 20 “regular” houseplants, measured by how many pollutants the plants can remove from the air. Read more.

Samsung’s bigger, foldier, more rollable displays

Ahead of Samsung Electronics’ press conference later today, we’ve taken a look at some of its product plans including a “new generation of products that can be folded inward and outward,” as well as “monitor-sized” folding and Sliding OLEDs are also included. nvidia has started its game

GeForce RTX 4080 Super

Today, Nvidia gets into artificial intelligence in a big way with the unveiling of its GeForce RTX, which also includes the GeForce RTX 40 Super series of desktop graphics cards. Most of these are for gaming, and Nvidia said 14 of them will be getting the RTX upgrade treatment, including Horizon Forbidden West, Pax Dei, and Diablo IV. The price of RTX 4080 Super starts at $999.

Talking about chips, AMD launched its new Ryzen 8000G processor for desktops.

Eye-tracking in Bosch’s car

Bosch is this week demonstrating two technologies for eye tracking while driving: one will notice if your eyes are tired and ask you if you need an espresso when you get home. If yes, its connect technology will tell you to keep your fancy machine ready. The second one is a little more complex because it has been developed to keep track of what you are looking at while driving. Read more.

Apple Vision Pro will be available for sale from February 2

The consumer electronics giant confirmed that the Vision Pro will be available in the US starting February 2. Pre-orders for this $3,500 spatial computing device open on Friday, January 19.
